**My Rules Here**After buying this costume, I really wanted to take some outdoor shots with it... but of course after days of lovely weather, we
had to plan the shoot for Sunday afternoon. It was 101 degrees all day until we got ready, and then it turned nasty and started raining.
It didn't last long, and we headed to the park.
It was overcast, though, and the camera was originally set to auto-flash, which made all the pictures stark and washed out. So after turning the flash off, we got some nice saturated colors... problem was, 90% of everything came out unfocused. We didn't realize it on location, because the pictures looked fine on the tiny digital screen. We were really excited about some of the shots (we thought) we got. Only to be disappointed when getting back home last night, and viewing them on the 22" monitor. It was sickening.
So, I'm going to upload everything salvagable, because I think some of it was pretty good. I guess we'll do a few indoors, and then try again this weekend at the park (because I really want to recapture a few of those ruined poses).
Does anyone have any suggestions for shooting on overcast days?
I could:
A. bring a tripod along
B. Buy a really expensive camera (ha!)
C. Only take pictures on sunny days
Anything I'm missing???
Keep up the fine work, Tara!
