It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I had a new idea for a shoot... after watching Joe playing Resident Evil 4 for hours, I thought about dressing as an action heroine (ala Lara Croft) that people could use for video game manips and so forth... but before you get too excited, the initial shoot I'm uploading wasn't the greatest; I have plans to re-shoot again (in the next week or so) with the same theme, and it'll be a combined shoot with :iconthornerose-stock:  Hopefully she and her wife can be persuaded to be zombies or other entities that my character can battle with in group shots!  I think that'll be awesome. :joy:

   Anyway, I was all hyped about doing the shoot yesterday with them, and then the weather forcast called for severe storms/flood warnings/etc... so we cancelled... and lo and behold, the weather cleared.  But by the time I got into costume, and convinced Joe to head outdoors (he was resigned to the nasty weather, camped in front of the TV with his Wii)... the daylight was fading quickly and getting anything worth using was difficult.  I'll upload some that I feel might work, but please keep in mind we'll be getting better stuff soon!! :D

Also, I've been adding art periodically to my other account, using my stock and others' ....so please check out :iconteachspet: when you get a chance. :)  Thanks!

hmmm... well I'd say use make-up... theatre make up would probably be too expensive for our needs...I might be able to find some clearanced Halloween kit somewhere like a party supply store. maybe. eBay would take too long for this shoot! LOL
At worst, just powder your face with a really pale powder, add bruises and under-eye circles with dark, dramatic eyeshadow... and maybe color scars on your face with a dark red lipstick (if you don't normally wear it, we could chisel it to a point for finer lines) If you draw it on thick and clumpy, it might also look like blood. Or how about ye old cliche - ketchup! LOL

ketchup and tomato sauce is actually a good idea seeing ive done that before, and yea ive made myself a zombie before with alot of "coverup extra pale" and a cheap dollar store black/blue/white eyeshadow kit :) for a stupid little movie me and a friend made, so if you see any of those kinda things for cheap or something, feel free to pick them up or something :) ill see what I can do on this end.
but yea sometimes fake blood can be made by home stuff also like food coloring and stuffs but that can be messy, but as state we will see what we come up with :)
